2. Max Spencer Q&A - The Idea

For my second feature I plan on writing a case study on graphic designer and illustrator Max Spencer.

Max is a third year student at Falmouth university. From an early age Max has been passionate about design, but what originally started as a personal interest in illustration and digital art has already become the start of his professional career, producing work for huge brands such as Nike, Coke and Sprite.

Last week I stumbled across Max's work online whilst browsing tutorials on blending techniques in Photoshop. When I realised he is studying at my university I decided to learn a little more about him, and try to arrange a meeting.

I love the mix of hand-drawn, photographed and computer generated imagery Max uses in all of his pieces. he seems to be constantly trying to evolve his style, adding more and more elements but retaining a sense of minimalistic harmony throughout his compositions.

I have arranged to meet up with Max for a Coffee and interview over the weekend, which will form the basis of my case study.
